Yesterday, I went to a catechist training on the sacraments. Patty asked 7 people to go up and say a prayer regarding one of the 7 sacraments. She asked the girl standing next to me to do Eucharist, and me to do Penance. I say (within her earshot), “Notice how she picked *me* to read for Penance.” Patty replies, “There might be a reason for that.” !!!!!
Okay, so today’s Gospel is all about David’s sin with Bathsheba.
So, do you think that God’s trying to tell me something???? Maybe I should go to confession tomorrow….

Wow! Really? Actually going to St. A’s for confession?? :)

Yup…not sure if Fr. Ben is in Slovakia right now, and don’t want to risk getting the priest you got… :-)

Come on, now! I can’t be the only person who is “worse than an animal”! How can we find out unless you confess to him too?
It’s going to be a tight fit tomorrow with my schedule. I have 2 talks to give, going until about 2 pm, then a pit stop at the hospital, then back to Troy. Do I confess speeding?? :)

I guarantee that you are not the only person who is “worse than an animal”, and I guarantee I’m worse than you are. But it took me too long to get comfortable with going to Confession (as in, it took me too long to be able to go without bursting into tears when I had to open my mouth and tell the priest my sins) for me to intentionally go to that priest. If God wants me to go to him, He will make it happen.
I think God wanted you to go to him so you’d get a sense of perspective on the other priests you’d been to, particularly Fr. Malleus. :-p

I mentioned this to Fr. JJ yesterday, since I was worried about my pouting/complaining about the C&M priest, especially if my pouting was making you not want to go to him for confession.
(How many times can I re-write this sentence?) I confessed the same thing to Fr. JJ as to Fr. [?] and got a much different response.
Oh, and how can you *guarantee* that you are worse than me? :P This isn’t a contest! And, after all, I *did* tease Fr. John that I’d start making a golden calf, since we weren’t to be having morning Mass for 2 weeks. :)
